Technology Loan for Remote Learners
We have a very limited number of laptops available to loan to students to support them with remote learning. Laptops will be loaned on a priority basis, with Year 12 and Year 11 students as the highest priority as they negotiate preparing for their HSC in these challenging conditions. Regardless of your child’s year level, if you would like to express your interest to borrow a school laptop for your child, please respond by emailing to Gloucester High School or ring 02 6558 1605 and answer the following questions, to be added to the register:
- What technology do you currently have available and how many devices? i.e. PC, laptop, iPad, tablet, smart phone
- Do you have Internet access and/or mobile phone service with data (that can be used to hotspot)?
- Is there any other information that impact your child’s ability to engage in learning from home?
To be considered, we need to receive your request by 3pm Monday 6 April, 2020. If you are successful, we will notify you, provide further information and there will be allocated collection times. Your child will need to accompany you to the school to collect so that they can log in to the laptop before it goes home. Your child will be required to sign a contract to adhere to terms of use and agreement to pay for loss or damage. We understand the challenges with online learning and appreciate your patience and understanding.
