Multicultural Day 2023

We are excited that our school will be hosting a Multicultural Day, Friday 8 December 2023. Students will participate in a range of cultural activities including personal stories from community members, that will provide an opportunity to celebrate Australia's multicultural diversity.

One of the highlights of the day, will be the Holi Festival, a traditional Indian Festival. This festival celebrates new beginnings, joy, harmony, and is often seen as a time to get together to enjoy each other's company without discrimination. The festival involves throwing coloured powder made from cornflour and food colourings. As part of our celebrations, students will walk through stations set up around the oval, and teachers will throw powder into the air that will produce a never-ending shower of colour.

The safety and wellbeing of students is paramount during any school activity and the Holi Festival is no exception. A range of Work, Health and Safety measures have been put in place to ensure that the event runs smoothly and is safe and enjoyable for the students.
